1) Scam 1992

Scam 1992 is a Sony exclusive web series and therefore one can watch the entire 10-part series on the internet on the Sony Liv website or on the Sony Liv application. The story of the Scam 1992 can easily be viewed on those platforms exclusively.

Based on 1992 Indian stock market scam committed by stockbroker Harshad Mehta, the series is adapted from journalist Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu’s 1992 book The Scam: Who Won, who Lost, who Got Away.

Mirzapur is an action crime thriller web television series on Amazon Prime Video produced by Excel Entertainment.[1] The series is primarily shot in Mirzapur, with some shots in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow, Raebareli, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. It revolves around drugs, guns, murders and lawlessness. It depicts the putrescence, governance and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.

Its first season consists of 9 episodes in total.The series was renewed for a second season and was scheduled for 23 October 2020 premiere, but it got released a day earlier on 22 October 2020.

3) Sacred Games 

Sacred Games is an Indian crime thriller web television series based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name. The first Netflix original series in India, it is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap who produced it under their banner Phantom Films.

When police officer Sartaj Singh receives an anonymous tip about the location of criminal overlord Ganesh Gaitonde, he embarks on a chase around Mumbai in what becomes a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. Amidst the chaos, trappings of a corrupt underworld are revealed. After being removed from the Gaitonde case, Singh begins his own investigation as he works to save Mumbai from impending doom. Flashbacks reveal some of the crimes that Gaitonde has committed through the years.

4) The Family Man 

The Family Man is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller web television series on Prime Video created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.

Srikant Tiwari is a middle-class man who also serves as a world-class spy. Srikant tries to balance his familial responsibilities with the demands of the highly secretive special cell of the National Intelligency Agency that he is working for.

5) Kota Factory 

Kota Factory is an 2019 Indian Hindi-language web series directed by Raghav Subbu for The Viral Fever. The series simultaneously premiered on TVFPlay and YouTube on 16 April 2019. It is also the first black and white web series in India. The show follows the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav who moves to Kota from Itarsi.

Kota is famous for its ancient architectural places, its marvelous gardens and sites on the bank of river Chambal. Kota has also become a hub for IIT coaching classes and many students from all over India come here to prepare for the prestigious entrance examination.

6) Special Ops 

Special Ops Is an Indian espionage thriller series created by Neeraj Pandey for Disney+ Hotstar’s label Hotstar Specials with Kay Kay Menon leading the cast.

 Neeraj Pandey along with Shivam Nair directed the series along with Pandey’s Friday Storytellers attached as a production house.

7) Paatal lok 

Paatal Lok ( transl. Underworld) is an Indian Hindi-language crime thriller web television series which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 15 May 2020. 

It is produced by Clean Slate Filmz, and stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Ishwak Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee.

8) Panchayat 

Panchayat is a 2020 Indian comedy-drama web television series that premiered on Amazon Video on 3 April 2020. Produced by The Viral Fever, the series chronicles the life of engineering graduate who joins as a Panchayat secretary in a remote village Phulera of Uttar Pradesh due to lack of better job options. 

The series stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, and Biswapati Sarkar.

9) Jamtara 

Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega is an Indian crime drama web television series directed by Soumendra Padhi and written by Trishant Srivastava.

The story revolves around the phishing operations in the Jamtara district of Jharkhand. It was released on Netflix on 10 January 2020.

10) Criminal Justice 

Criminal Justice is an Indian crime thriller web series based on Criminal Justice by Peter Moffat, adapted for India by Shridhar Raghavan streaming on Hotstar on its new label Hotstar Specials on 5 April 2.

12) Delhi Crime 

Delhi Crime is an Emmy award winning Indian crime drama web television series written and directed by Richie Mehta.Starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang, the series is set in the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape.

Its first two episodes were premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in the Indie Episodic category.The series was released on Netflix on 22 March 2019.The show was renewed for a second season with the main cast returning.

The crime thriller is based on an Israeli show by the same name. The story revolves around retired IPS officer Prithvi Singh (Ronit Roy) who goes to any extent to save the life of his wife–even holding a family hostage and asking for murder.
